Anxiety can leave you with the sensation of being “off,” constantly on edge with knots or a hollow gnawing in your gut. Feeling unsafe in your own mind and body. Totally detached or disconnected. Dreading the next occurrence – which you know is coming.
Today, anxiety is a word that gets tossed around frequently. Sometimes, its use in common everyday language is almost flippant. Like many things, its grip – the crushing hold it can have – exists on a spectrum.
