Maybe you have had an infidelity in your relationship. If that’s you, there is help and hope.
The Gottman Method of couples counseling takes you through a proven process that will help you communicate so you are heard and understood, have tough conversations without blowing up, grow closer in your friendship and connection, build shared meaning and goals, and repair from any mistrust or betrayal. I have completed three levels of Gottman training and am currently in the certification program for the final level 4. I have also taken the Gottman Affair Repair Training and Couples and Addiction.
For couples, I will guide you through the challenges you face during various life transitions; a betrayal in the relationship, blended family challenges, if you decide this direction, going through a divorce and coparenting, and also something we call Discernment – if one of you is leaning out and one is leaning in.
I work with you both to focus on the goals of the relationship, not to pick sides, but to help each of you in your relationship.
For teens or individuals facing difficulties with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions I can help you resolve your symptoms and grow with understanding, compassion, and solutions.. Don’t wait to get help, wishing it away doesn’t work.
My continuing education has included earning numerous certifications including TEAM-CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), EMDR for trauma, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and CPT (cognitive processing therapy, a specialized treatment for sufferers of PTSD). All tools to help you recover sooner.
My interest in therapy is the result of a lifelong curiosity about human behavior and capacity for change. Helping people move toward their goals, improve their relationships, or just be at peace with what is, is what drives me. I believe in ongoing personal learning in order to offer the best tools to those with whom I work.
I have been practicing therapy for 13 years. I received her MA from the University of San Francisco in Counseling Psychology, and I also has a Master of Music in Violin.
Performance from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Therapy is MY second career, after spending many years as an orchestral violinist and private violin teacher.
When not working I still play music, enjoy gardening, swimming, cycling, and spending time with friends and family.
