Welcome to the Relationship Therapy Center! My name is Christin Estes and I am an Associate Marriage Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor working under the guidance of licensed professionals. Additionally I have my credential as a school psychologist where I have supported elementary through high school age students with diverse and specialized needs continue to learn, grow, and thrive academically, emotionally, and socially in the school environment.
Foundationally, I use research-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Brainspotting and Gottman Method of Couples Counseling. These methods help clients improve communication and resolve conflict, overcome betrayal or affairs, manage anxiety, heal from trauma, strengthen relationships with themselves and others.
My focus is on supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, codependency, navigating life transitions and challenges. Likewise it is to help couples get on the same page or rekindle the love and connection they crave.
Counseling is a safe space to process your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and experiences and both learn and utilize tools to use in your life. Similarily, counseling is also a great space to explore, highlight, and utilize your strengths as you continue to learn more about yourself. Then it is through this self-discovery process that promotes healing, growth, and connection.
Who I Help
I provide therapy for:
- Children and teens overcoming trauma, navigating emotions and learning coping skills including help with ADHD and other neurodiverse individuals.
- Couples seeking improved communication, conflict resolution, or rebuilding trust after betrayal or working to get closer
- Individuals navigating anxiety, grief, trauma and codependency
- Faith Based Integration (Christian Therapist) if desired
I earned my master’s degree at Saint Mary’s College of California. Further, I have been working with children/teens for 5 years and individuals, couples, and families for over 2 years. My specialty is working with children/teens experiencing anxiety and women experiencing anxiety, codependency, grief, and trauma. For this purpose, my trainings include Gottman Level 1 and Level 2. Gottman Affair Recovery and Gottman Addiction with Couples. Also, I am trained in Brainspotting Phase 1 and Phase 2.
I became a therapist because I wanted to support people in their process of learning about themselves. My belief is we are all life long learners and part of the healing process is growing through our challenges and hardships to create the kind of lives we want for ourselves. For me, it is an honor to be a part of my client’s journey and I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives.
When I am not in session with clients, I enjoy: going on hikes, exercising, reading, spending time with family/friends, learning new cooking recipes, and learning from podcasts or documentaries.
“This is a great therapy center with lots of helpful resources and wonderful therapists trained to work specifically in the realm of relationships. I’ve talked with a couple different therapists here as well as attended a relationship workshop. The things I learned and tools I took home are top tier! All of the staff and therapists I’ve had the pleasure of meeting have been extremely professional and more than willing to help with anything I or my partner needs.”
