My interest in therapy is the result of a lifelong curiosity about human behavior and capacity for change. To clarify, I love helping people move toward their goals, improve their relationships, or just be at peace with what is. In fact, it is what drives me. It is important to me to continue ongoing personal learning in order to offer the best tools to those with whom I work.
Hello, I’m Vickie. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in the greater Sacramento area of Roseville, CA and Fair Oaks, CA. And I specialize in helping teens and individuals who are struggling with anxiety and OCD, depression, and trauma including coming from a trauma-informed approach. Similarily, I help couples with infidelity, communication problems, not being on the same page with sex and intimacy, and those growing distant or fighting. In addition I help older adults live happier twilight years and help with retirement transition.
My passion is supporting clients in rebuilding trust and intimacy and developing healthier communication patterns.
For couples, I will guide you through the challenges you face during various life transitions; a betrayal in the relationship or blended family challenges. If you find yourself going through a divorce and coparenting I can help, as well as something we call Discernment – if one of you is leaning out and one is leaning in.
I work with you both to focus on the goals of the relationship, not to pick sides, but to help each of you in your relationship.
For teens or individuals facing difficulties with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions I can help you resolve your symptoms and grow with understanding, compassion, and solutions.

Specifically, I became a therapist because a therapist changed my life when I was young and in college the first time. Excitingly, I was thrilled to see that there were answers to the challenges that I was facing and I remain intensely interested to see how we as humans can grow and change. Being a therapist is extremely rewarding, as an opportunity to connect with people and also to help them in whatever journey they have chosen to pursue.
Most of my adult life was spent working as an orchestral violinist and a private violin teacher. As a result, I continue to play for enjoyment and I am passionate about music. Participating in exercise gives amazing results, and I like to spend time with friends and family.
This is a great therapy center. They place you pretty quickly with a therapist. After finding out what you are seeking therapy for, they set you up with one of the therapist that would best fit your needs. The receptionist always returns calls in a timely manner as well as any therapist we have spoken with. The rooms are comfortable, there is a great selection of beverages while you wait or to take during your session. The lobby has aromatherapy, music and white noise to help with privacy and a sense of calm. If you are waiting for your loved one to finish their session, there is a lovely, calm water feature to enjoy out in the quad. Or just relax in the lobby. A very welcoming place. Even for kiddos. They have a toy room to help with making the kiddos comfortable for their needs to be met. I would definitely recommend this therapy center.
