About Me
I was a therapy skeptic for most of my life, until I found myself stuck in a pit that I couldn’t climb out of, and my first experience with therapy launched me on an expedition to understand who I was and why I was the way I was, and it changed the way I was able to understand and order my internal world. And then it began to shift the way I engaged with the world around me. So it was life-changing for me.
I use the analogy of deep-sea diving a lot. Maybe you’ve explored the shallow waters, and you want to plumb the depths, but you’re nervous. Maybe you suspect that there’s something more that you’re just not able to access, and you’re on the fence about whether or not to give therapy a try. My encouragement to you is to take the leap; the water is good for swimming, and there’s so much more beneath the surface to explore! It won’t be easy, and it won’t feel as comfortable initially, but it will be worth it. (Might even change your life.)
My heart is to help you connect more deeply to yourself, to others, and (if you’re interested) to God. I provide therapy for:
Couples looking to deepen their connection, learn tools for communicating more effectively, recover from infidelity or relational ruptures, develop an effective strategy for co-parenting, and/or discern whether or not to remain married.
Women and Adolescents who struggle with any number of symptoms related to the human condition, including (but not limited to): Trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, social isolation & loneliness, boundaries, codependency, OCD, self-harm, identity issues, ADHD and neurodivergence, and people who struggle to feel deeply, or to live a life that integrates their mental, social, spiritual, sexual, and emotional well-being.
Families who are looking to strengthen their communication and connection, including blended families and Foster Care/Adoptive families.
Children who struggle with emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, and navigating life changes.
Spiritual/faith-based counseling available upon request.
