My name is Kimberly Ferrari, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) practicing under the supervision of licensed clinicians. I work at the Relationship Therapy Center in Roseville, California, where I am passionate about walking alongside individuals, couples, and groups as they heal, grow, and rebuild.
I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and deeply human. My goal is to meet you where you are with compassion and curiosity while helping you move toward greater clarity, strength, and connection.
How I Work
My approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I integrate several evidence-based modalities to best support each client’s unique needs, including:
- Narrative Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
- Betrayal trauma–informed care
I specialize in working with individuals and groups healing from intimate partner betrayal, whether clients are seeking to repair their relationship or navigating separation and recovery. I strive to create a space where pain is honored, hope is possible, and healing happens at a pace that feels safe.
Who I Help
I provide therapy for:
- Couples seeking improved communication, conflict resolution, emotional closeness, or rebuilding trust after betrayal
- Individual women navigating anxiety, depression, grief, or betrayal trauma
- Group therapy for betrayal trauma and recovery while partnered with a spouse struggling with addiction
Faith-based integration from a Christian perspective, when desired by the client
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology as well as a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an elementary school teacher and spent many years supporting children and young adults with special needs. This background continues to shape my patience, creativity, and deep respect for each person’s unique story.
I am trained in EMDR therapy and am currently pursuing training toward becoming a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), with a focus on further specializing in work with betrayed partners.
Clients often describe me as kind, warm, compassionate, and empathetic. I believe in finding moments of light and hope even in life’s hardest seasons. My faith is an important part of who I am, and I deeply value marriage, family, healthy boundaries, and the repair of relational ruptures when it is safe, possible, and in the best interest of my clients.
I approach therapy with optimism, strong problem-solving skills, and a genuine love for helping others heal and thrive.
When I’m not in session, I enjoy staying active through hiking, weight lifting, calisthenics, yoga, running, and stand-up paddleboarding. I love spending time with my husband, our four children, and our dog — especially camping, fishing, playing games, and gathering around backyard firepits.
I also volunteer in children’s ministry, working with children with special needs, which continues to be a meaningful and grounding part of my life.
