Heidi Marcoux, LMFT, LPCC

I am Heidi Marcoux. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Seattle, Washington. I recently moved from California to Washington. Being licensed in both states, I can see you with virtual therapy in California and Washington. I specialize in helping couples, adults, teens, and parents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting challenges, relationship challenges or help with premarital counseling.

I use research-based approaches such as Gottman Method, Trauma Informed CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy),TEAM CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),  Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Parent Management Training. These methods help clients improve communication and strengthen their relationships, understand and heal anxiety, depression and trauma through a trauma-informed lens, and allow you to learn skills and tools to help yourself, your relationships, and your parenting.

It takes courage to seek out professional support. In fact even more courage to initiate change.

When life feels overwhelming or you feel stuck, therapy can help you. So that you can clarify your experiences and build a plan forward. Together we will work to find a way through, to help you get unstuck. Then you learn new tools to help you reach your goals.

My work includes working with a variety of clients including teens, young adults, children and couples. Throughout treatment, I will create a place where, with the right tools and resources, you will be able to understand, heal, and cope effectively with symptoms of depression. In addition to anxiety, addiction, codependency, grief, or relationship problems.

Couples seeking recovery from an affair, help with communication and friendship, couples who are looking to fight fair and new couples seeking premarital support

Individuals (and teens) navigating anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, codependency, as well as life transitions or to grow and expand beyond where you are

Families looking for parenting support, teen counseling and blended family challenges

Faith-based integration (Christian Therapist) if requested

I earned my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree from William Jessup University in Roseville, California and have 6 years of experience in teen, individual, marriage and premarital therapy. Additionally,  I’ve trained in Gottman Method Levels 1–2 and also have training in Trauma-Focused CBT, TEAM-CBT and Parent Management Training.

My love for therapy comes from my love for people and a desire to make a meaningful impact when it matters most. I believe that our pain is not wasted and also believe that we were not meant to go through difficult times alone. My goal is to offer support, practical skills, and most importantly my empathy and presence in a non-judgmental environment so that you can not just survive, but thrive in your current season.
