If you’re experiencing lack of motivation, feelings of loss or abandonment, or discouraged about your life or your relationships, you’ve come to the right place for help. I am here to help you overcome these feelings and eliminate the blocks to finding joy in your life.
Couples often stop communicating before intimacy wanes. Clients often regain their spark after the blocks to communication are removed. We all want to feel loved and appreciated. Removing the obstacles and fears can allow the love to flow again. Taking responsibility for one’s words and actions can go a long way in resolving difficult or seemingly impossible situations. Einstein said, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking that created the problems.” I help clients think outside the box and envision a new way forward. I am also in training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy which is an evidenced-based practice that teaches clients to build love, connection, romance and at the same time improve communication and resolve conflicts.
I’m a compassionate, intuitive, strength-based therapist who has worked with many individuals with mental health issues and couples and families with relationship conflicts and challenges. I’ve lived in cities from east to west and north to south in the USA, and a few years in SE Asia and Europe, learning to adapt to different cultures. I also traveled the world for a couple years working for the airlines. I have learned to be flexible to people’s differences, while finding the human values and beliefs that unite us all at the core. I also have experience as a Special Education Teacher with hearing impaired and learning handicapped adolescents and know a fair amount about their fears and challenges.
I use a variety of therapy models and specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gottman Couples Therapy because they are evidence-based practices and are effective at getting results. Like metamorphosis, the caterpillar must shed its cocoon to emerge as a butterfly (its true nature). Only then, can the butterfly see perspectives and gain abilities that were previously unknown or unattainable. Gently uncovering one’s dysfunctional thoughts, I help my clients find the root causes of their limiting beliefs, creating new insights, strengths, and positive outcomes.
I look forward to meeting you and working together.
