Do you ever ask yourself, “Why does life have to be so hard?”, “What did I do to deserve this?”, “What’s wrong with me?” or “Why do I end up dating the same people?

If so, I can help. I’ve been there and have had the opportunity to get to the other side.

My experience of being in therapy was life changing, but I know it can be uncomfortable and it may feel unbearable at times both inside and outside the therapy room. I can help you sit with the discomfort, be with yourself during these difficult times, learn new ways of coping, learn to handle your emotions, encourage new ways of thinking so that you feel better…..hopeful, joyful, encouraged….ready for a new way of living.

Besides being a client of therapy, I have completed my master’s degree and am working on finishing up the hours needed to become fully licensed.  I have the benefit of working under a mentor and a licensed supervisor to continue to be a better therapist.   It takes a long time to be fully licensed, 3000 hours.

During the time I have been seeing clients, I have developed specialties including eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have also worked with adolescence cope with developmental issues, helped them manage school expectations, and cope with the pressure of social media and peers groups. I am currently being trained in the Gottman Method for Couples and have tools to help couples navigate communication, improve their connection and resolve conflicts in a healthy way.

The most important aspects of the therapeutic relationship are to have my clients feel seen, heard, understood, and valued. My goal is to hold space for you to safely explore your inner world, feel your emotions, and uncover truths about yourself that you seek to understand. I use my education in emotionally focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to help the clients I serve understand a coherent narrative about their life and understanding the “why” behind their behaviors. When you understand “why”, you gain the power to make different choices.

Based on my lived experienced I believe if an individual and couple are given a safe and empathic environment to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences they can grow into the person or couple they wish to become. I enjoy working with individuals and couples to help them find their strengths and empower them to live their life to their fullest. I believe we all have potential to uncover our truest selves and improve our relationships with ourselves and loved one.

If you are ready to take the journey towards self-discovery and healing, give me a call. It would be my privilege to light your path and witness your transformation.

I look forward to meeting you soon!
